Self-employed mortgage/Accountant question

Hi,
I will have two years worth of completed accounts by the time I apply for a mortgage but my accountant is being really difficult at the moment so I am desperate to change.
He has done my first years accounts and is due to do my second year accounts very soon. My question is whether it would be detrimental to my mortgage application in any way if I were to change accountant at this point?
Many thanks.

It won't be detrimental, but you should be going through a broker, not trying to do it yourself (this is experience talking!)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

All theyre bothered about is that the accounts are done by someone qualified. A lot of lenders now request SA302's in place of accounts. You or you accountant can request these from HMRC.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Another vote for SA302s.
A lot easier to manage and no questions over entries in the accounts the lenders don't understand.I am a mortgage broker. Remember, you need to keep on side of your current accountant to some degree. A chartered accountant won't pick up your business unless the previous accountant releases you.I am a Mortgage Broker
