anyone bought any jewellery from etsy before?

hi all,

ive found the perfect engagement ring but its from a seller on etsy and im torn on what to do. ive looked in shops and the jewellery quarter in birmingham and havent found anything else that comes close to it. whats concerning me is what if its not as described when it comes? is it easy enough to send things back?

I got my ring off Etsy and its perfect. However I dont think it would be easy to send it back if it was made specifically for you. Might be worth asking the seller beforehand?

My Etsy seller was really good, sourced the stone that I wanted, sent me photos all through the process from computer generated photo renderings to the final piece.

we ordered a necklace there was a problem with it so they sent out another no problem. What sort of feedback has the seller been left is is ok, nice or gushing as people are really happy? Anything that sends warning bells or not. Can we have a look there is some fab stuff on there.

My husband went online chatted with some company's rep in the US and got my ring made from his design. Stone Shape,clarity, the way its set on the ring part. I love it as he organised it all. Its a shame i put on weight and its to snug now i had quite a few complements.

The necklace i got on etsy says Married i got it when i was expecting as my ring fingers started to swell.

I've just bought a headband and matching bracelet to wear on my wedding day from Etsy. The seller (or crafter, they are handmade) is in California. I'm having them delivered to MIL's in France as we are getting married there and to have them sent to me in Switzerland would cost an arm and a leg in customs fees! I'll let you know how it goes!!
