That link tells you for irregular hours
Prove by showing the link https://www.gov.uk/calculate-your-holiday-entitlement to them and ask them to work it out via this link as this is a GOV website!!I've used that link a few times myself - it doesn't really get any more accurate.
Naf, go through the process on that link (it takes all of 5 seconds) and then do a screen print of the result. Wave that in his face
Yep, exactly what I've already done; the ignorant #@*% refuses to budge. I'm half of the mind that he does know that he's wrong, but also knows that his position is very hard to absolutely disprove.
I've just emailed him detailing the actual wording from the Working Time Regs and then explaining it, info from an ACAS leaflet about it, as well as reiterating the gov.uk calculator figure. I'll give him a couple of days then follow up, and if I get no/poor response I'll just open a small claims case. Or should I go through my union first?Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -
