Comping & claiming benefits

Hi, i was just wondering if any rules are being broken entering competitions whilst claiming benefits? Obviously a big money win would have to be declared but what about everything else? Is it ok to sell unwanted wins on eBay or would this be classed as earnings? I very rarely sell wins as most comps i enter are ones i want to win or know that i can give as gifts, just wondering if theres any actual rules that we have to follow?
Thanks guys

if you had a big cash win you would have to declare it (I'm taking about over 12k (which I think would take you over the capital limit) I've never declared any wins - when I worked for them - a long time ago- there was no mention in the regs about competition wins at all, although if you were regularly selling items they may decide that you are working (theoretically)proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0
