Are they scrapping the Wednesday Lotto?

I usually buy my Lotto and Euromillions in a 4 week block, ie. 4 Wednesday and 4 Saturday Lotto draws, and 4 Tuesday and 5 Friday Euromillions draws, all bought at the same time.

When I went in, earlier this month, I was told they could only do me Lotto tickets to Wednesday 25th September.

I went in today, to buy a Lotto ticket for this Saturday (28th), and received a leaflet saying the new Lotto tickets go on sale on the 3rd October, and that "It all kicks off with two special launch draws on Saturday 5th and Saturday 12th October".

If the first draw of the new tickets is on Saturday 5th October, why was I refused the sale of a ticket though to Tuesday 2nd October :huh:

Are they not doing the Wednesday Lotto any more, after 25th September?

Wed 02/10 is the last £1 draw, Sat and Wed after that are £2 draws.
If your 4 week ticket started with a Wed they couldn't sell you one for Wed 02/10 because that week would include Sat 05/10 when the £2 tickets start.
