Dental implants

Hello,
Basically asking on behalf of my Grandad, who's looking to get three tooth implants. He's been quoted £3,000 from the dentist (they won't do it on the NHS). Is there any forum advice on shopping around for treatment?
Most dentists I've found seem to hide their price lists. I've found a few places abroad but I'm not sure how to trust them.
Any advice?
Thanks

Your question is going to help me as well. There are some adverts around suggesting £4 to £600 per tooth, I haven't the money yet or would have queried. I also think that instead of saying 'I want this & that done', ask that you cannot chew food properly, what is the best you can do as implanting a tooth, may not cure the problem.

There have been lots of implant threads on here. If you search 'dental implants' you should find most of them. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
