GE isnt far off as bad as it gets. Both in terms of rates/fees and service

Do you only meet their criteria on one credit report? Im assuming you have a broker as GE only deal with brokers from memory - shouldnt he/she be able to answer this for you?

There can be lenders who are more lenient than GE and offer far better rates, is there any reason why you are looking a them in particular? I do probably more than my fair share of adverse mortgages and only once have i had to use them.

  • Hi,

I have checked my credit rating and Experian is Fair and Equifax is good, but call credit showed up mistakes, which I am trying to rectify, and we dont have much time to sort out the mortgage, and already got turned down by Lloyds due to the mistakes on callcredit, I have requested a fix, but it will take too long,
the broker says he could get us through GE money and then fix for 2 years and re mortgage to better provider once call credit issues are fixed,
He says GE mmoney search experian and equifax, but just wanted to double check as dont want to go down application and get another refusal.

    Thansk

If Equifax is good, why not try a mainstream lender who uses only Equifax?

I'd only use GE Money if I has absolutely no other option.

After going through hell with GE I would avoid like the plague. Charges are high and they will charge for anything and everything, customer service is nonexistent, and they woe betide if you miss any payments.

Also their interest is lot higher than others, so even if you are fixed for two years you will pay through the nose.

No they do not use call credit, as far as im aware its one of the other 2.

Most lenders only use equifax or experien. If the only issue is call credit being incorrect then you do not need to going with GE money - thats just complete overkill!
