Her contract hasnt been renewed. This is where i thought it may fall down with Leeds - most lenders have that wording.

She has a new job with a new employer (the agency).

Her contract has not been renewed as it has only just started and when she starts with the NHS she will still be in the same position as she is on a contract.

    EDIT:
Only just seen your second post. That could be a possibility to get it through but with things like that, your clutching at straws and its very difficult to get it through. Most lenders do not like contracts.

So could the contractor angle be a possibility?

Possibly yes, but i would be (as a broker) very reluctant to put an application to Leeds based on that bit of criteria you put in bold. The reason being is that i think it would be a waste of my time... I would discuss it with someone first to see what the likelihood is but going off kingstreets response i wouldnt be holding my breath.

There may be options but i think you will need a broker for the application.

    Thankyou all for your input.

I am going to speak to a broker and have put the wheels in motion in that regard.

I think i will be close to getting the mortgage on my own if required, but would the lender apply what i see as common sense that if i, as the person earning the vast majority of house hold income fall very slightly short on affordability consider that with my wife's income we would easily pass affordibility.

Some lenders will, although most high street lenders take the view that if you fail affordability you fail it.

ok, bad news as far as im concerned, just come off the phone from leeds who say she would have to be in employment for 6 months.

I dont no if this would be an option but what if she went back to her old job (only been in new one 3 weeks), would it be some how possible to ignore the new job ever started?
