could someone please explain what rafflecopter is ?

I'm sorry if its been asked before , but i took a break from comping and now i'm back i keep seeing rafflecopter and i have no idea what it is

Its more of a social media entry type thing....

I have entered loads of comps on it and have run my own on it. Basically, you earn entry points for things like liking them on facebook or twitter, then you can earn extra points for following them or commenting on something. You can do as little or as much as you want. Most blogs tend to use them, its easy to put on and its a good way to bring in traffic and followers.

I never used to enter any because it looked far too confusing haha. But once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy

so do you have to be on FB and twiiter to use it ?

It's a way of having multiple entry types...usually you need to login to the site or fb then do a couple of things like fb like or blog comment. This can then unlock other options to enter like twitter etc

my description is that it's a list of ways you can enter the comp - some are mandatory others optional, some you can do daily & for each one you complete you get an entry (or entries)

It's the ones that give 10 entries for doing everything that annoy me, there's just little reason for it apart from making the stats look better for prize providers.

There's another similar one out there now (Gleam?), which I have to say is a lot nicer to use (no copy and pasting tweet links etc).
