Bottled water contain fluoride?

Do bottled water like spring, still, mineral water from shops contain fluoride?

Are all brands the same? If not which ones are tested and genuine?

Or is it a scam and theres no difference between bottled water and tap water?

I think there's an analysis of the mineral content of 'mineral' waters on the side of the bottle isn't there?

There are very few areas of the UK that have fluoride in the water. There is a map online here

Fluoride certainly isn't added to any bottled waters that I'm aware of either. Some might have some level in there naturally - but I doubt many have the therapeutic dose of 1ppm.

Some bottled waters should be avoided by babies,children and people with kidney disease because of the mineral content.

If you are worried about the taste or smell of tap water leaving a jug in the fridge for a few hours lets the chlorine evaporates off . Water filters tend to be ineffective as most people don't change the filters often enough.

If you want fluoride in your water make a cup of tea with it, as tea is naturally high in fluoride.

Coke were selling tap water (purified) this is very different to spring water.

Op was asking about bottled water which may not necessarily be spring water.

Spring water itself is not suitable for everyone e.g. people with kidney and heart problems , babies etc

There is no clear cut advantage of bottled water over tap and some may argue many disadvantages.

I think if it is labelled as mineral water it has to fulfill certain criteria, but if it's just bottled drinking water they could just have filled it from the tap! Some information here:

I happen to have a bottle of mineral water here, and it tells you how much calcium, magnesium, sodium, etc it contains but I can't see any mention of flouride!

All drinking water contains some fluoride, although generally it's at a pretty low level. It would be unusual for any bottled water company to deliberately add it.

It's fairly difficult to remove fluoride from the water - ordinary household brita-type filters won't work. You need to use a distillation apparatus or a reverse osmosis filter, such as the type used by chemists and marine fishkeepers.
