Ex says refused Car Insurance Because of Attachment of Earnings?

As far as im aware DEO's will show up due to the fact the money is taken directly from pay, therefore lowering someones salary, which people offering credit need to know to make an informed decision on whether to issue somone with credit, I may be wrong, but thats the way i understand it.0

I seem to remember hearing a year or so back that missed payments would affect credit history. This is probably a result of the CSA having closer ties with Experian these days.0

I phoned CSA today, they say that having an attachment of earnings order shouldn't affect credit applications.
I suspect he's playing mind games with me.
I've texted my son's father and told him that he needs to contact the CSA office and tell them of his present circumstances as until he does, he will continue to accrue the money he's supposed to be paying (and isn't). If he's jobless, fair enough, I wouldn't want to make that worse, but he needs to start dealing with the CSA. They say they've heard nothing from him.0 -
Hmm, ill get this checked out when i next go into work, I would have thought the DeO would need to be declared atleast to a creditor, as if ure salary is 15k and ure on a 40% deo, your salary is actually alot lower once you factor in that Deo, like i say, ill get this verified next time im in the office0

He's on 15% plus a small amount of arrears. I've posted on your other thread too lol.0

I'm pretty sure that although a DEO doesn't show on a credit report, missed payments do (and generally a DEO has been imposed due to payments being missed).
If this isn't the case currently, then it will be soon, I'm definitely heard it mentioned at work.0 -

So therefore there is very likely to be, or very soon will be, 'something' on his credit report in relation to missed payments.0 -
Hang on a minute, don't some people, I admit probably a small minority, actually opt to pay by DEO, I am sure I have read somewhere that you can actually choose to pay like that if you want, or am I mistaken? After all, when the CSA eventually messes up your case and accuses you of not paying what better proof can there be than to have it showing as deductions on all your payslips!PreludeForTimeFeelers wrote: »I'm pretty sure that although a DEO doesn't show on a credit report, missed payments do (and generally a DEO has been imposed due to payments being missed).

So, in a nutshell you may soon be able to apply to knacker up your own credit rating if you do opt to pay this way, Im sure they must sit round a table every week dreaming up ideas how to ruin peoples lives, that's a cracking idea that!0 -
