Anyone ever been told they cannot enter comps?

When I was 10, I won a photoshoot with my best friend in London from blush magazine. It was the only big prize (i'd won a towel and some books before this) that I had ever won. About 8 months down the line I entered a competition in a completely different magazine and for some make-up and they wrote to me saying that they had seen my win in blush magazine and thought it was unfair that i was still entering competitions. I never entered any again until I saw this forum and realised that you all win lots of prizes and don't get stopped. Has this ever happened to any of you?

I know this may seem like an overreaction, but stuff like that makes me sooooo angry :mad: How can people do that to a kid?. I know it's only about competitions, but even so. I'm not surprised that you carried that with you into adulthood.

Anyway, it's complete rubbish. Don't let it put you off anymore, there nothing bad, wrong, greedy or anything else about entering for as many comps as you like. Although some comps won't let you win again for a time after winning, but very few. I remember winning and with their WEM they wrote, don't forget to check out our latest comps.

Hope you win 3 comps in one day, and stick two fingers up at the person who did that to you.

Haha thankyou. I know it really upset me as a kid actually. It wasn't as if it was another makeover competition or even a big one, just a bit of mary-kate and ashley makeup. Thankyou for your reply
