  • Spiders climb back up out of the loo you know :p

That's why I put a good lot of bleach down there :D and flushed it twice.

And then I higher someone to stand guard all night by the loo in case ;)
  • now for a funny story before bed,

we have a squirrel biggest pain of my life, this year it dug up my flower bulbs, wrecked my greenhouse, ate a lot of my fruit destroyed 3 bird feeders, scared my granddaughter, pooped on my washing twice, to name but a few of its bad deeds
everyone says we should shoot it but i will not let them
today dd2 got revenge for me she stole its nuts:eek::eek:

2 large bowls full from my trees she found after i had cut the grass in a big heap slightly buried, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

For those who like Pot Noodles... doubtless we'll have some 50p offer in A at some point or another on the single ones. However,... I've been looking at what's on at T and noticed I haven't mentioned this before. In order to beat the expensive 50p/pot pricing.

There are some 4 pack versions on at £1.94 in T at the mo. Pot Noodle Original Curry and Pot Noodle Chicken & Mushroom. Both £3.00 A vs T. And the 10% off. You'd probably buy (or use up) at least 4 anyway. That's better than falling for a 50p offer later on each of four individual pots.;):) HTH.

Sorry to quote - the countdown is now on to how long it will be to the next 50p offer in A, where all the masses of the public are buying them.

Wrong time. The time to buy is now (on the 4s!).
I bet people will be going mad on biscuits and chocolates too, at times before or after we have all bought them! They get the £1 offers once they've gone 'down' to that price, as opposed to buying them the previous week vs a competitor's half price of 80p. (When it's £1, it's usually the competitor then back at £1.60.) Usually anything going down in price is a price increase and items increasing in price are price reductions (vs competitor's cheaper prices) or bargains (with misprices and DTDs).:money:
Get your expensive bargains, that work out much cheaper, here!

I can't kill anything intentionally, feel bad when I step on a snail :o

And always pick up worms (after it's rained) that are stranded on the pavement & put them on the grass verge :o:o:o

    Karma ;)

I'm about to seek and destroy the little buzzy 7 letter word that will get censored but begins with B and ends with D that is currently buzzing his last around my bedroom

Thanks Sue. No it's a research doctorate so I have been sponsored to undertake research that will (fingers crossed :o) result in a PhD. It's not a fortune, most of it will go on the research itself but the sponsor pays the fees as well as giving me a research grant.
For me, it's the only way I wanted to do it. I've been to uni twice before and didn't want to go back again and do a full time course work led qualification.

I cope better with something to do. I've been at home this past couple of years through necessity. Im not sorry I have been but now that things have passed crisis point I need to do something a bit more challenging than housework :o:o That's just me :)

That is great news, well done x:j:j:j

and shall remain for ever more if its like my hubby !

I like spider sort of I dont like when they are massive but I will lift them and fling them out the door. (with a newspaper) Daddy long legs I catch in my hands and let out the door too. I dont like wasps and will splatter them. Bees are sacred so I will just scream till they leave !

Flies too I will try and let them out of the window but if all fails they getting splattered.

Our new place back on to a load of trees and a wee burn so I have noticed a huge upturn on the amount of beasties appearing.

I will no doubt be eaten alive next summer (those two days in July us scots like to call summer) by our resident vampire midgies !!

I am fine with most other things ....wasps flies dadylonglegs etc i even have to rescue mice from neighbours cats etc ....I can fix toilets......fit kitchens........but show me a spider and I am a wreck!
My house backs onto a wooded nature reserve- great choice calmspirit :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

can i second this please i have been telling dd2 about you and other peoples comments about the situation and she asked this evening about you i think it gives her encouragment that others are in a similar situation and its not just her that is struggling it happens to a lot of us so you all dont know it but your comments to emmap are actual a comfort to others xxxx

words of wisdom from the inspiring rhosynbach :A:A:A many of us find this place a haven and even though we dont post regularly (when RL takes over or we just forget our passwords!) we know that there is always someone here who will understand as many have understood emmap's situation - such a range of people here - love it!
