Inland Revenue Declaration

Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me positively,

do i have to declare my mini cash ISA on a tax
form from the inland revenue.

    I'm pretty sure that the last set of instructions I got with the tax return forms said that I didn't have to declare them.

    Mind you, the advice is probably worth less than you paid for :)

    A ISA is a savings account where savings up to the maximum of £3000 is placed in a Tax free wrapper, so to speak, so the Inland Revenue don't want to know anything about it at all.

    absolutely, definitely positively you do not have to declare your ISA on the tax form

    100% a definate no from an ex - HMRC processor
    Barclays - Reclaiming - £3380 - stayed 30/08/07 - £2261 goodwill 20/02/09
    Abbey - Reclaiming £250 - 1st letter - stayed
    MBNA - Reclaiming £400 - received £294
    Morgan Stanley - Reclaiming £138 - received £120
    MINT - reclaiming £110 - received £90
    A&L - £170 charges - £170 back!

    ...unless the ISA has been declared void in which case the interest would be taxable.
