My husband is going abroad for 5 years with his work.

Am i entitled to a reduction in my council tax

Probably not.

For CT purposes your husband will be treating as residing in the marital home.

However you will be classed as single for a lot of other benefits so look into those. There is a thread on here somewher where somebody was in your position and was told she could claim as a single person.
