Ruined my ugg boots :-( can they be saved

Today I decided to give my chestnut tall ugg boots a clean I googled and a few recommendation said to wet and rub them with plain soap. I did this all good or so I thought.. They are now totally dry but still look soaked and are a darker shade and stiff they seem ruined ,I'm totally gutted as these cost me a fortune. Please please please can anyone tell me if they can be saved ??

If they are stiff have they still got loads of soap on them? Not sure if this is right thing to do but I would wet them again after suede brushing them. Make sure soap out, and dry very slowly. I actually put a pair in the machine once as they were shot other than walking the dog...they went stiff for a while but if you bash them about a bit they get soft again.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

They should soften up again, give them a brush with a suede brush, that should get the colour back, and wear them around the house to soften them up, the heat will help.

  • Mine always do this when i clean them, all the need is a good brush with a soft suede brush. Make sure you get a soft one designed for sheepskin x
