Barclays Bank Base Rate (currently 0.5%) + 3.99% presumably, for the life of the mortgage if no term is stated.

"OpenPlan" is the Woolwich/Barclays flexible mortgage product brand name.

BBR +3.99% until 31 dec 2016 then 4.49%, so really it,s 4.49% from day one, or does BBR go on top of 4.49% after 2016?

I suggest you request a key facts illustration (fully personalised quote) from the lender to satisfy yourself, rather than try to rely on a website product guide and an attempt to verify the data by someone who has no idea what you are looking at.

The follow-on rate may be exactly the same. Who knows.
