wedding dress nightmare

My daughter in law to be bought her wedding dress in a sale on saturday, it was pointed out to her that there were a few marks on the front of the dress and dust marks round the bottom, i was with her so i know this to be right, she was given a cleaners name to take it to. When we got the dress home and she tried it on for her mother who was not able to go with us to the shop we noticed the bodice at the back was all pin marks which were dirty. We rang the shop and they are refusing to give her the money back. I rang the consumer rights and told them the story, but what can we do when they still refuse to refund the money. HELP

If they warned you it was dirty then you might not have a leg to stand on. Have you taken it to the cleaners and asked them if they think it will come clean? Depending on the style of the dress could you sew beads over the pin marks. If you could put a photo on her someone might be able to suggest ways of covering the marks.

Contact your local trading standards and tell them the story, they will tell you if you have a leg to stand on or not, and if you do they will suggest what to do next.

Good luck! Don't let them get away with it.
