Me too. I used to know all the words to that. I tried singing along just now and still know most of em. They don't write em like that anymore. I always wondered if that song came out of a jam session

An old joke about the awful, middle of the road crooner Daniel O’Donnell, but fit your own pet hate into the formula.

The IRA captured Ian Paisley, Margaret Thatcher and Daniel O’Donnell, but they only had two bullets. So they shot Daniel O’Donnell twice just to make sure.

The funniest tale I have re Daniel is that I won a meet & greet but we turned up at the wrong theatre.Just glad that I had not dragged my Mammy over for it or I would have been for the chop :-)

Interesting debate re Daniel OD. I'm a bit of a slapper re music. Very little that I don't like. Some of which I would never admit to in public

My take is that the Dubs knock spots off Mr O - especially given that they weren't spring chicks in WO's clip, but OMG, those honeydew voices...:eek:

On t'other hand, I think Dan also has a lovely voice, it's just that his style/tone is overloaded with 2 tons of cheese. Now then, IF he would take the criticism and work at it, get a bit more of an edge to his singing, I suspect that the IRA would've made a better choice
