I live in the borough of Wandsworth common, last night at 630pm I parked my car in one of residential streets (Ravenslea Road). I got out of the house this morning to find a penalty charge notice for parking in a suspended bay.

The parking suspension states that the parking is suspended in front of houses 40-42, but this suspension notice is around 10 meters from the actual properties (I'll take a picture of it when I get home).

I'm not too sure whether this notice would have been there from when I parked yesterday. Secondly, the PCN states that I was there from 0640 and that the PCN was issued at 0745. This is totally untrue because I was there from 1830 yesterday evening. Please see attachment of PCN. %20target=_blank%20rel=nofollow%3Eourafqizuwigyog3eg61.png

My guess is that this suspension was done for a removals van for houses 40-42.

Is there anyone who can signpost me to rules on parking suspensions?

Would it be possible to challenge?

You should always, always appeal a Council PCN to adjudication and forget the discount bribe, IMHO. Most people win who appeal all the way thru the 3 stages.

'...the PCN states that I was there from 0640 and that the PCN was issued at 0745. This is totally untrue because I was there from 1830 yesterday evening.''

You have misunderstood the timing; that's their observation times this morning of your car!

Anyway take it to pepipoo to get help in winning your appeal (almost everyone there wins):

but read a few suspended bay threads there first to get the hang of what pictures to show the forum and what sort of advice is likely to be given.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The incorrect printing would have been enough.
    Be happy...;)
