London to Bath Fare Help

Afternoon all MSE'rs!
My wife and I need to go to Bath on Friday 4th October, around 7pm, and then return back to Paddington on Sunday 6th October (most likely afternnon).
Are there any savings to be made on this route, other than the standard off peak return? Not sure if it helps but we have Network Railcards.
Thanks so much all!

You could save about 20% by buying advanced single tickets now, but that would cost you flexibility. Also on the outward journey you would have to get a train later in the evening or take the slow route from Waterloo.0

Good advice, thanks Apt. I did see the advance tickets but we're not sure exactly when we will coming back on Sunday. Oh well, maybe we will go for the dreaded coach!
Thanks again,

If you can leave a little later on the Friday you can get a superoffpeak return for £53.50 - a little cheaper than a normal off peak return (£67).
Valid on any train on the Sunday0 -
You could use your Network Railcard for a return from London to Didcot Parkway for £17.10. Then a Super off peak return from Didcot to Bath is £23.10.0

Have a look at splitting the tickets at Didcot Parkway; that saves a packet on Paddy to Bristol.0

Thanks all - splitting at Didcot looks like the best value option - saves quite a bit.
Cheers!0
