I am so proud of ourselves - its been a WHOLE year since we stopped spending on tht credit cards! We've reduced the credit card debt by nearly 30%.
My eye has been off the ball for the last couple of months, we've sold our house and have found another to buy, downside to that is the amount of petrol we have used instead of going towards debt but sometime s life comes first lol. Whats more we have not increased our mortgage to cover the debt, but are moving to a different area where prices are cheaper for a larger home :j
So now to let the solicitors do their work, fingers crossed it all goes through.
Once we move, my little one will be starting school so I can look for a part time job and really hit clearing the rest of our debt, our total debt free date could be as soon as Dec 08, but I will need to sort out budgets again once we move.

Well done Lenny!
Its actually quite satisifying working out if you can afford something or not, rather than 'bunging it a card' isn't it!
Hubby made me chuckle this evening. He came home and said that he'd treated himself today, all sorts of things were going through my mind - whats he bought now?? Turns out he had a spare 10 mins and bought himself a Magnum icecream for £1.20, the only money apart from a loaf of bread he's spent all week ... I think he's got the hang of money saving now!Proud to be dealing with our debts - We WANT to be debt free DEC 09

Hiya
Great that you've stopped using the credit card. It feels so different once you stop living on credit doesn't it. We always save for things now and half the time we realise we don't actually want / need it before we actually buy it so it's much more debt free friendly. I'm sure half the time it used to be the buzz of buying something rather than actually needing it. Keep up the good work xxJanuary budget

First thing I did following my LBM in June 2004 was to cut up my CC's, best thing I did. About 6 month to go for me, from £38,500 down to £3,5000
