Advice needed on a win !!!

Hi everyone,

I posted the other day that I won the Buxted park hotel stay competition by Honda.

I have had an e-mail stating it is only for one night when in the terms and conditions it states two night stay for two people with a three course meal on one night, and a glass of champagne and canap!s with breakfast each morning. The company dealing with the competition on the Hondas behalf has emailed me stating it is only for night stay. Advice needed.

I have included the competition details and terms and conditions so you all can ready.

Terms and conditions
Competition open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the promoter and River Group (and their associated companies), their immediate families or anyone professionally connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
First prize: 1 x 2-night stay for 2 people in an executive room at Buxted Park hotel including a 125ml glass of champagne, pre-dinner canap!s, 3-course table d’hôte dinner and full traditional breakfast on each morning; Second prize: 1 x dinner for 2 at a Hand Picked hotel of the winner’s choice; Third Prize: Afternoon tea for 2 at a Hand Picked hotel of the winner’s choice.
To enter, either complete and submit the online form at honda.co.uk/buxted-park-hotel or complete the form attached to the letter with Dream magazine and return to the address provided. Entries by either method must be received by no later than 23:59 (GMT) on [31 August 2013].
No purchase necessary. The winners will be selected at random from all valid entries and notified by email or post within [ 30 ] days of the closing date.
Prizes are valid for redemption from 31 May 2013 to 31 December 2013 inclusive but excluding national and bank holidays, and subject to availability. Winners are required to redeem their prizes with the hotel direct.
The prizes exclude travel and the winners and their guests must make their own arrangements to travel to the hotel. Any items purchased at the hotel when redeeming the prize not included in the prize description must be paid for separately.
In entering this prize draw you agree to take part in reasonable publicity and agree that, in the event that you win, the Promoter may publish your name in any and all media and make your name available on request to third parties.
The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry not made in accordance with these terms and conditions. One entry per person. Third party or bulk entries will be excluded from the draw. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed for any reason.
Prizes are subject to availability and there is no cash alternative and no element of the prize is transferable. Promoter reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of equal or greater value in the event of any part or any or all of the prizes becoming unavailable.
By entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are not involved in promoting any product that competes with Honda’s product range or any activity that is illegal. The Promoter reserves the right to reject the entry of any person whose association with the Promoter or its products may, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, damage or be detrimental to the brand, reputation, standing or goodwill of the Promoter or any member of its group of companies or their products.
In the event that the promoter (having used its reasonable endeavours to do so) is unable to contact the winner within a reasonable period of the draw, then it reserves the right to draw another winner.
The decision of the Promoter is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this prize draw or by the entrant’s acceptance of the prize, or any damage to any entrant’s or other person’s computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of entering or downloading any material relating to this prize draw. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

I won a times competition a few months ago T&C stated 2 night break
but when I was phoned I was told 1 night.

I waited till the details were sent to me then phoned the company that were dealing with the prize and pointed to what was in the T&C.
They very kindly checked and we had the 2 nights.

Sometimes they can get things wrong, please check with Honda or the company dealing with the prize.

is there not a contact number or email in the email they sent you when you won? i do hope you get it sorted as its a fantastic prize well done again on winning it x
