We always find Makro have a deal on one of the branded lines (Finish, Fairy) usually about 10p per tablet and available in packs larger than supermarkets stock.

Lidl tablets £3.19 for 60, salt 88p for 2 kg (lasts ~3 month) and cheap white vinegar as rinse aid.

Cleans as good as the branded stuff, and absolutely no need for the overpriced 3 in 1 tablets. You only need to refill salt and rinse aid every few weeks. Most dish washers have an indicator light for it, so you don't forget.

Aldi's All in One Tabs are a WHICH? best buy and they are among the cheapest per wash too.

I get the rinse aid, salt etc when it's on offer in either Aldi or Lidl.
