Even now, when most of the traffic will have died, I still get white space (in both IE and Chrome) below the green "Get code" button. The "no codes left" message just doesn't come up for me.0

I was refreshing from 09:57 and I was successful. It's just about timing. They did it fairly what can you complain about0

Have some pride, ignore these crumbs being thrown to us!
Follow my example: book advance fares around Scotland & only after, see the 'over 55' £19 rtn tickets with Scotrail0 -

Perhaps a fairer way of doing it would be to give the £10 discount to the next 10,000 people who actually book a ticket through Redspottedhankey? I bet a large number of codes that have been grabbed don't even end up getting used.0 -
i got the white box again at 4, so much for being fixed!
A big thanks to all the comp posters for their effort0 -
I was successful at 4pm. refreshing the page from 3.59pm and was lucky.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You are right, they won't all get used and RSH of course know that.
Your suggestion of giving a £10 discount on the next 10,000 orders would actually cost RSH £100,000 in lost revenue, and they certainly don't want that to happen.
By doing the promotion the way they are doing it, they are guaranteed that the cost will be less than that... probably much less than half of that... possibly as little as £10,000 or less... who knows.0 -
Or it ends up with people booking via RSH which has never considered using them before (the fools who book via the train line paying all the various fees)0

I think it might be because a code wasn't claimed - imagine a page error, or timeout (due to server overload) where the system allocated a code, but then realises it was never received at the person's browser. It then probably gives the next guy a chance to get it.0

As I posted earlier on the site feedback - I used this offer like cashback - great to have but don't count on it.
I have been lucky in the past with Rsh offers but this time did not succeed. Better luck next time eh?
edit - I do think its abysmal that some of these are offered on eb*y though.Back on the trains again!0
