Dear All
Thank you, thank you, thank you! APCOA has finally given up on its unfair PCN, not because it acknowledges that their signage is crap at Luton airport, and people can actually slow down to read signs only to have their passenger jump in unexpectedly, but they are having to give up because the BPA guy got involved and pointed out to them that they were out of time in issuing the PCN in the first place.
What an unnecessary waste of 6 months of our lives, countless letters and subsequent postage charges, etc.!
Further irony is that I received a letter in the post today (that is, the very same day as this email message that said the wait was over) from APCOA in which they said they DIDN'T accept the argument about why the driver picked up in the unauthorized area at Luton airport, and so I was just about to draft a very long thread to MSE about how we should proceed.
(They had the audacity to send me a bunch of photos of signs about parking at Luton which were never seen because the driver never got that far into the airport!)
NEVER MIND!
Anyway, here's the good news in black and white:
The operator has acknowledged that the parking charge notice was not issued within the correct timescale and therefore has agreed to cancel the parking charge notice. The operator will send a letter confirming this which you should receive shortly.
We hope the above is to your satisfaction and we consider the case closed.
Kind regards,
AOS Investigations Team
PS I do want to acknowledge how wonderful I think God was in all this -- leading me to find MSE so I didn't try to do things in my own power, and even just today, I was praying that He would conspire to make this thing go away. Faith slightly shaken by the letter in the post? Oh, yes. But then the email message tonight. What a great Sovereign Lord! Sorry if you don't agree, but those of you who were instrumental in my contacting the BPA director, I'm of the belief that you were sent by God into my life!
You wonderful, wonderful angels in human form!

I wonder whether God will inspire you to issue a Letter Before County Court Claim for your work, expense and inconvenience against these Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Now that would be a real Revelation.
Glad you got this sorted, well done :T.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
