Good Book Reads - For making £££ / Motivation for people wanting to make £££

Sorry wasn't quite sure how to title this thread...

Basicly anyone got suggestions for good books around 'money making' etc?

One I would personally recommed is

Rich Dad Poor Dad
Anyone can do it - Duncan Bannatyne

& I have just purchased

'Think like a tycoon by W.G Hill' because my Dad recommed this and he has gone on about it time after time (he is already a millionaire might I add) and apparently in this book it says once you've reached XXX amount of money send of for his other book which he has just brought so I thought I would give that a shot - If this thread is still around I will update and say if I think its any good as obvouisly I havn't read it yet. :D

Please no self promoting e-books please... :o

Whichever books you read on making money and motivation, make sure you get them from the library. Self help books are a good money spinner.....for the author.

Your Money of Your Life is the best one I have ever read, by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin.

  • I like this thread idea - looking forward to some good suggestions. And, yes, get them from the library - or at least second hand from GreenMetropolis or Amazon if you are likely to want to re-read/dip into them like me!

    A few from me:

Rich Dad Poor Dad made me think - the asset vs. liability argument he makes is worth considering.

The Four Hour Work Week - for inspiration and remembering why you want to make more money.

The $100 Start Up is in a similar vein - inspirational with loads of ideas.

I also enjoyed Robbie Burn's 'The Naked Trader' on share buying - though I have not yet bought any shares so am a complete beginner.

Your Money or Your Life is one I plan to read soon.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Quite pleased really recived my 'Think like a tycoon' book today which I got off ebay for £3...turns out their is only one other person selling it on ebay and their from the US for £60. Had alook on Amazon and lowest is also selling at £18 (Dont get it mixed up with the bill greene one)

So far it does seem like a good book, but only read the first 4 chapters or so and it seems to be aimed more towards property then anything else.

Shall update once I've finshed it if I would of paid £18 or so if I would of known!

    What a bargin :D
