Just wondered what people's timelines have been with Abbey and Santander recently. We have just applied.

Can be very quick.
Once we need manual intervention can be maddening.

now waiting for valuationMaking a change in 20130 -
Mine ground to a halt after approved but before valuation but it turned up this was because for some reason the valuation was cancelled - I chased after about 3 weeks of nothing and since then it seems to have taken a week to reach the point where they advised funds will be released in a weeks time. this was for a remortgage.I think....0

Mine was really quick - apart from a small issue with them not associating the valuation report with my application. A quick chase from the MA and my offer was in the post around a week and a half after I applied.0

Mine is taking ages -
Full mortgage application completed on the 28th August.
Since then a few queries about the bonus/variable pay element of my salary (a little tricky to prove as recently promoted).
Now it is with a human instead of a computer, it is taking a long time. It is the part holding up my purchase.
3 weeks and counting...0 -
Done a new application for further borrowing including interview. Received the funds for that and now currently in the process of a remortgage internally in Santander but still only 3 weeks since my first call to them. Can't fault them so far0

According to our broker we should get e decision today. Feeling so nervous!Anna :beer:0

Ours took 7 weeks from the valuation being done and the mortgage offer being sent out. No-one's quite sure why that took 7 weeks rather than a couple of days.0

Just heard from our mortgage broker and apparently Abbey all happy with our application so valuation should get booked on Monday. One step closer!Anna :beer:0
