Hi, I received a letter from these people a week or so ago asking me to verify if I was the above named person. After reading some of your comments I decided it was best not to!!
I have now received a letter detailing who the debt is to, how much it is etc. Although the debt is a valid debt it was part of a debt management plan which is still being paid (due to be finished next April). I'm assuming some law has been broken in the fact they disclosed this information without any confirmation (it was a different address)?
How do I go about dealing with these idiots as the last thing I want is them turning up at my door! Do I contact the original debtor, or contact my debt management people or write a letter to BCW?
Help please.

I have contacted my DMP, the problem being that they have changed hands and for some reason keep skipping over the bit about sending the original documents to my creditor.
I am concerned that BCW will turn up at my door for money, is there anything else I can do to put them on hold, bearing in mind I never confirmed I was living at that address when they sent the original "fishing" letter?0 -
More chance of Elvis turning up on your doorstep than BCW. Even if they do, just tell em to naff off.Still rolling rolling rolling......
