Hi,
I have a yellow Window's 7 folder that I wish to password protect, how is this done?
I have checked online tutorials that talk about compressing etc but I don't seem to have such options.
Thanks

Can't be done using the Windows Operating System.

"you can't use a password to protect files and folders in Windows. However, some programs that run on Windows allow you to protect individual files with a password. For more information, check the Help for the program you're using."
WinZip allows you to copy files to a compressed folder, which you can password protect. It costs about £25. There may be similar programmes out there that are free or cheaper.0 -
Or you could just use the zip functionality that's built in to Windows.WinZip allows you to copy files to a compressed folder, which you can password protect. It costs about £25. There may be similar programmes out there that are free or cheaper.
Then again, it looks as though W7 might not support zip passwords, which seems odd!Stompa0 -
