Password Protect Window's Folder

Hi,

I have a yellow Window's 7 folder that I wish to password protect, how is this done?

I have checked online tutorials that talk about compressing etc but I don't seem to have such options.

Can't be done using the Windows Operating System.

WinZip allows you to copy files to a compressed folder, which you can password protect. It costs about £25. There may be similar programmes out there that are free or cheaper.

Or you could just use the zip functionality that's built in to Windows.

Then again, it looks as though W7 might not support zip passwords, which seems odd!

Yes I think 7-Zip will encrypt a ZIP file with a password, and it is free.
