Working out early am-any ways to cut on noise?

I've always been more a morning workout person as much rather get out the way. Trying to get fit for christmas and got insanity DVDs, not sure if anyone heard but its all max interval training together with jumps which I did for two weeks after work but would prefer first thing. Concern is I'm in ground floor flat with laminate flooring, is there any soundproofing I could use? It would be good to cushion jumps and not peeve OH who will be sleeping, as well as neighbours

  • I use a normal mat/carpet with non slip mesh type stuff underneath on my laminate floor, just remember to hoover underneath regularly and wash the mesh every so often when it looses it's grip.
  • Yoga type mat?
  • I have wooden floorboards and had the same problem so I brought some of the children's foam interlocking floor mats (they look like large multi-coloured jigsaw pieces) You can get them in Tesco or on amazon, ebay etc. I find they really help soundproof and if you wedge them wall to wall they are better than a non slip mat. When you finish your workout just take them apart and slip them behind the sofa!
