Hi my wife still has her university loan from the 90's. She is starting full time work soon and pay is just over the threshold for repayment. My question is can you deduct her 7.5% pension contribution from her gross salary for the purpose of the student loan repayment threshold?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can't - it will be based on gross annual pay before any deductions at all.

Hopefully someone will be able to confirm soonish.

Yes, the agreements and deferment forms all work from gross income as far as I've ever seen.
