I was lucky enough to find a pack on the shelf in my nearest Extra - and so were other people who have reported back to this thread, so I think you will find that the information WAS accurate and you were just unlucky this time around.

Better Luck next time - not everyone can get all of the offers found on MSE. Probably just as well, or there would be lots of houses bursting at the seams

I couldnt find the 19p ones in any Tesco I tried. I finished up using my mocs on the 9 pack at Superdrug, £2.49 for 9 after using the moc. Superdrug seems to be the cheapest place at the moment for this size pack.

It's just a marketing wheeze by Tesco.

Scatter some attractively priced branded toilet rolls around a few stores. Be devious with the pricing so only some SELs show the reduction while other toilet rolls reveal the reduced price at the checkouts (a 'glitch'!). Get your shills to spread the word on various consumer websites like MSE, HUKD and Mumsnet.

Tesco struck lucky with this promotional trick because they managed to gull Martin Lewis and his team into featuring it in the MSE email, but the result was lots of people visiting their local Tesco branches to look for these elusive bargains. Of course the vast majority didn't find any but, no doubt, bought stuff anyway. The result: increased sales for a tiny outlay.
