I noticed these Lowell clowns like to go to town on your credit file, placing all kinds of defaults with incorrect dates etc, and then contact you about making a payment...what exactly is the incentive to pay after that?
If they had contacting me before ruining my credit report, the threat would have been effective and I would have paid up...what exactly is the point threatening after they have done their worst
p.s. As you know a settled default makes no difference to anything

Because they want you to make contact to dispute the very obviously false information on your report. Putting fake defaults on your report is part of the game.Still rolling rolling rolling......

Yes that would make sense, except I already offered to pay the full amount if they removed the default record...not put settled...remove the whole thing
..and they refused! They said it is their duty to accurately report payments etc

They are full of bullsheet. A recent default on an old debt is not accurate.Still rolling rolling rolling......

so it is the duty of Equifax to remove this no? I have 2 defaults which are clearly inaccurate..there is only a single red box placed by Lowell, not the original creditor and the date is wrong0
