Natwest Consolidation Loan

  • Thats why I suggested speaking to the same bank the original loan is with. How you manage your accounts with them is far more important to them than any credit record, and if they can offer a new loan to cover the existing one, at a lower rate, and with lower monthly payments, then surely that puts the OP in a better position

Then you open the can of worms regarding the applicants personal money management. Why should lenders take the risk? Up to borrowers to manage their own affairs. Tough but fair.
  • If they're paying the agreed amounts back on time, their money management isn't an issue. I'm suggesting the OP contacts the bank to see if they can help in this way as I know of various banks that are happy to do this.

There's more to money management than simply paying this months installment. So many things can tip what seems a situation under control over the edge. Then it's a question of damage limitation.
  • A creditor gives you money on the understanding you pay it back + interest. If you make your payments, always stay within authorised limits on your accounts, and have regular payments leaving, then you are fine. There's no need to over-complicate a very simple thread, the OP is looking for help and I'm providing a perfectly reasonable answer, maybe stop trying to pick it apart when I'm completely correct
  • And what is there to read from! They make things up a they go along. Why are you being so defensive over them.

    Who makes things up ?

The bank, they cant make additions to the contract without informing the OP.
