My Q's are on Mortgage & Home Insurance - These are my circumstances ... My husband and I live overseas and still have our home in the UK. Our house has a separate 'granny annexe' on the drive (a 2 Flr, 2 bed cottage that we have completely renovated). My parents rent this 'annexe' from us and look after our house whilst we're away (gardening, cleaning, any maintenance and making sure the heating is on in the cold weather, etc etc). When we go to the UK on holiday we stay in our house as all our belongings are there, this can be once or twice (max) a year for a period of 4-5 weeks each time. Any suggestions on what type of Mortgage I need and who may be the best to go with, as well as Home Ins ... please?
