Anyone going to the Independence Rally this Saturday?

Just being a bit nosy really, first ever rally for me, at the grand old age of 43! I've never been that into politics, but I feel differently about this one.

I'm taking my DD with me, maybe one day she'll look back and tell her grandkids " I was there"

We're going on the train, booked months ago and got a decent price. The rally is free, so probably the cheapest day out in Edinburgh I've ever had, lol.

p.s. I'm hoping it's OK to put this here, that it's not classed as too political or anything...:o

The Yes volunteers have had to deliver leaflets door to door. They've asked all summer for stalls at outdoor events but have been told they can't have a stall unless " better together" have a stall too.

I only know about it because I saw it on Facebook.

I'll give you a wave if I'm on the telly. I'm the wee wummin with the saltire painted on her cheek

I'll keep my eyes open for you, we've not had a leaflet even though we're just over a mile from the parliment, try not to get into any trouble :D
  • Trouble? Na, no trouble expected. From what I hear it was really well policed last year. Quite a lot of families went, I'm quite looking forward to it :-)

  • As someone from NI I would be sad to see Scotland leave the UK.

    Why?
You Irish got your independence in the 1920s why deny it to the Scots?
We don't like being under English rule any more than your lot did.

What are you talking about? I'm from Northern Ireland (NI) which is part of the UK.

The Hurricane, we'd not be moving away or start talking a different language ( well no more than we do now lol)
It would be just as easy to come visit us and for us to visit you.

You've no need to be sad, not when we'd be happier and better off than we are now, surely?

First I've heard of this but won't be there even if it is near home!
