hi all.
we had an agreement with fortis lease in connection with hire purchase on a car. in august last year we purchased a new car and and because we had paid more than was required we wrote to fortis to state we wanted to hand back the car which is our right to do.
we cancelled the direct debit to them.
now we have paid no more for the car since aug last year and the car is still sitting outside our house. after many phone calls they just do not want to pick up the car which they are supposed to do.
the car is now declared off the road.
can anyone give me any advice as i am fed up trying to be civil with these people.
[forgot to say we now have had a summary cause raised against us for the return of the car.
does anyone think this is worth fighting?]
regards
