Wren kitchen and 0% finance agreement

I have seen a few threads already on the Forum and apologies if I am repeating a similar query but this is the scenario:

In May, my sister and I signed up to install a new Wren Kitchen. One of the criteria for the purchase was all the fabulous 0% offers at the time - up to 4 years interest free credit.
We paid a deposit of 10% with the balance of course being financed by the agreement. I recall at the time that the saleswoman calculated our monthly repayments would be £100 per month over 4 years and we providing our joint bank account details (we share a house).

Now, down the line with 3 weeks to go before installation we are being asked for the balance ... but I am starting to get concerned. We haven't been sent any paperwork re the credit agreement though Wren are still offering 0% for a year online and somehow I have a horrible feeling we may get stitched up when I go to query this tomorrow.

IF my hunch is right and we are no longer entitled to this special offer eg 0% for 4 years, what are our rights? I don't really want to cancel but there is no way we can find £6k up front.

What are our options?

Really shouldn't have parted with the deposit without a signed contract confirming conditions.

Contact them urgently and insist on getting a copy of the contract confirming your understanding. They may be awkward and deny everything in which case speak to trading standards.

Using a credit card would have provided some more protection.

Everything may resolve itself, but if not then they may treat your lack of proceeding as cancelling in which case they may try and keep the deposit, which you can try and sue for in the small claims court.

You must have come away with some kind of agreement but if you really didn't. you may have an uphill task.

In 2011 and 2012 they were offering 4yrs Interest free. I can't see anything for May 2013.

In both cases the deal is (was), of course, subject to acceptance
