Rockstar advises not to install 'Play' disc for GTAV on Xbox 360.

Thought I'd put this up because I imagine there's a few Xbox users getting the game tomorrow (or today, if you ordered from Amazon ).

On the Xbox 360 the game comes on two discs. A mandatory install disc and a play disc. Rockstar have advised Xbox 360 users NOT to install the Play disc, even though they can, as it will cause graphical errors and slow down. This is possibly due to the game being optimised to stream content from both the HDD and the optical drive simultaneously.

Thanks for the heads up OP, I was planning on installing it as ive just been deleting stuff to make room on the HD.

Of course, but they still release every GTA game on the PC but PC-only gamers are kept waiting.

I wouldn't be buying it on a console if I could get it on the PC on the same day. Even those money-grabbers at Activision release PC versions the same day as console.

I'm waiting till its 99p on steam in december

Saw some screenshots of the xbox 360 version, thought it as from the wii! The new console can't come soon enough. Deffo getting it for the PC now, not xbox. Plenty of games to play yet, so in no rush.

I was more interested in just getting the game. It's not like it's costing me much.

I'll pick it up on PC when they finally release it on PC. Based on GTAIV that'll be next June. Based on LA Noire it'll be October and based on RDR it'll be... never. :rotfl:
