Credit score different on 2 sites.

I recently checked my credit score on Experian currently 154 and Equifax 175.
how can it be different on both sites, I don't really know how this works but my credit rating is crap!
im 21 and my ex ran up in my name, its not a lot I owe but I cant afford to pay back what I owe just now, just a few quid here and there.
Trying to rebuild my credit rating in the hope me and my husband could get a mortgage some day.
Currently right now that's showing that littlewoods is outstanding, Very, and my 2 credit cards, I have a few other things but they aren't showing up...
im not on the electrol roll but is there anything I could do in the meantime to build it up or credit some points.
I currently have no positive factors and 7 negative factors....
thanks
Lauren

Pay of the debts that you have outstanding. Register on the electoral roll. Once you have finances and things under control. Get a credit card, if you credit rating isn't good then I would have a look at the bit on the site that is dedicated to people with bad credit cards. Get one of those and just use it to buy things you would buy with cash anyway. Keep it for 12 months and always pay off the money in full every month. After the 12 months is over check your credit score again. I hope this helps.0

The scores are just numbers made up by the sites. They dont mean anything, and they are not what prospective lenders see.
As the above post says; get a credit card (vanquis do one for bad credit) use it each month, and pay it off in FULL0 -
And get on the electoral roll ASAP!Mortgage received 21/12/2018

I have one with vanquish right now and it was the worst thing that I ever done, I had a job then I was sacked for being pregnant, they were always paid every month in full but the minute I couldn't pay they hounded me! and I mean hounded[STRIKE]Vanquis : £414.57 Capital One : £273.67 Littlewoods : £174.25 Very : £84.00

your credit score is obtained by taking your shoe size, multiplying it by 35.12285, dividing that by 12, multplying that by 3 and then re-arranging the numbers and sometimes, if the numbers aren't correct, changing them for other numbers.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

Each of the 3 credit reference agencies will likely hold slightly (or very) different information about you. The scores are not comparable and not particularly useful.im 21 and my ex ran up in my name, its not a lot I owe but I cant afford to pay back what I owe just now, just a few quid here and there.

Time and acting responsibly with credit from now on will help improve your rating. Keep repaying what you can afford towards your debtsCurrently right now that's showing that littlewoods is outstanding, Very, and my 2 credit cards, I have a few other things but they aren't showing up...

Get on the electoral roll as soon as you can.
The debts that do appear on your credit files - what shows in relation to them?
Do you have any CCJs? what dates?
Any defaults? what dates?
Do you have any accounts showing which show all positive (no defaults, no missed payments)?.
If you are using a credit builder card the best thing is to buy 1 or 2 small purchases a month and repay in full the following month, that way you don't end up paying interest and don't end up with a balance you cannot afford to repay.
As a seperate issue - if you were sacked for being pregnant I would suggest you speak to ACAS (or your union if you work in a union industry).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

ill see if I can do a snapshot of what it says...
I have some things with other debt collectors and council tax with the sheriff officers which is currently being paid at £5 per week but this doesn't seem to be showing on my profile.
want to clear whats showing then clear the rest.
was burying my head in the sand now I need to do something. I want to be able to get a mortgage so I have a house I can leave to my son

Council tax won't show on your credit report.
The other old debts may be things that don't show on any report - or could just be on your callcredit report. (Normally I'd say they may have dropped off your file if they were more than 6years since you defaulted, but being only 21 this isn't likely to apply to you).
Most things stay on your file for a period of 6years. So if you have a default dated say Jan 12, then by Feb 18 the default and the debt would no longer appear on your credit files at all.
For the best chance of being able to obtain a mortgage then you really need to wait until all the old negative entries have fallen off your credit file.
If you have only recently missed payments on vanquis, and if they have not yet filed a default notice then if you possibly can it would be good to avoid a new default appearing on your file (would husband be in a position to get the arrears on the vanquis account on your behalf?).
It sounds like it will take you some time to pay off the debt anyway, and presumably will then take you some time to save up a deposit, so by the time you are ready to consider homeownership hopefully all the old and recent negatives will have dropped off your credit file.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Out of 10 thing on my credit profile only 4 would be defaulted,
Vanquis, Very, Littlwoods, Capital one...... missed 3 payments or something
all of my bank accounts (3 of them) all show they have been handled really well, along with my avon as im a rep, and a previous pay day loan was settled.
the 4 things outstanding amount to £858 I just don't have that lying about at the moment unless I didn't pay my rent for a week or two and paid that up ....[STRIKE]Vanquis : £414.57 Capital One : £273.67 Littlewoods : £174.25 Very : £84.00
