got tuped over to a new company two years ago
they are now proposing a change to my working hours (extending some, reducing others).
i mentioned tupe to my line manager and he said they only needed to adhere to my old contract for a year
is this the case?
thanks

It is not the case that they had to adhere to the transferring contract for a year.
If a change was required which was not a consequence of the transfer, then it could have been pretty much immediate.
However, if the change were due to the transfer then you would still be covered by TUPE regulations.
I'm guessing I know but I would expect that the change in how your working hours are allocated is not a simple consequence of the transfer and therefore TUPE does not apply.0 -
thanks anam
they want to bring our start and finish times in line with other employees that work for the company
my query is that they would have known our start and finish times when they bid for the contract - so i think the change is due to the transfer0 -

From the little you have said this sounds like they will use it as a good business requirement to make the change. Wouldn't surprise me if they rationalise the number of workers afterwards.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0
