When you take your old vacuum to Argos or Tesco you can get up to £100 of certain models.
This deal runs out 29/10/13
I bought the dc28c and got £70 off the Tesco price of £299.
Argos have the same price too, so I am guessing Dyson set the prices.
The deal only started yesterday and my local Tesco only had 3 left. It may be worth noting that Argos t's&c's require two forms of id. Tesco didn't ask for any.
Its a fantastic vacuum, you really do get what you pay for.

Make of this what you may, but about 3 weeks ago I bought a DC40 from Tesco. There was no "trade-in" deals on but there was a £10 off code when you spent over £250. So I paid £279 for the DC40.
The price of the DC40 now is £289 including £100 off for "trade-in".
Technically it is now £10 more expensive than a few weeks ago and you didn't have give them an old vacuum. How do they get away with this type of misleading deals??0 -

Like the post above, the trade-in deal is not all that it seems.
The DC28c for example is available delivery to your door, with no trade-in for around £230 on a number of reseller websites.
Best to Google Shop your model number first to see whether it's worthwhile or not: http://www.google.co.uk/shopping--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
Totally agree, they have put the price up in order to make the discount bigger. Having said that, this is still a saving on the dc28c of at least £30 or £40. The only places listed online that offer the same price as the deal are unknown companies. I prefer to buy from an organisation I know.
I am sure given the choice most people would choose a brand where the price is the same or similar.0
