Dating agency mis sold?

I don't know where to post this but this seemed to be the most suitable! I joined a dating agency about 10 weeks ago. The owner assured me she had lots of suitable men to pair me up with. I have had about 7 profiles, none of which met the requirements I had asked for ie non smokers, height, etc. I appreciate that she can only match with the people she has but did she mislead when enticing me to join. It wasn't cheap and my other major gripe is that I ask her to phone me either by leaving a message on her ansaphone or email and she never does phone me back. Have I got any redress with this or do I just say goodbye to my money. The people I have spoken to are also disenchanted with her to say the least but no one as yet seems to have taken her to task.

It's a story you read time and time again that paid for dating sites have phoney profiles and they even have people working for them to write phoney messages, just to keep their customers online. It's gone on so long now i think you've got little chance of a refund.
All you can do is post as many reviews as you can all over the Web to warn others what they may be getting into. And stick to the free sites, you may get more idiots on it but at least it's not costing you anything.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I'd echo what sailorsam has written in post #2
It does sound like you and the others have not recieved the value for money you 1st thought. Personally I would never pay for a dating site EVER.0
