First off, apologies if theres already been a thread, looked back a few pages and couldn't see any.
Now.....looking to get call of duty ghosts for partner as part of his birthday. Cheapest price I've found so far is £35 on amazon. However, I need somewhere that can guarantee to have it delivered for the midnight launch so he can play at launch and a few comments on amazon stated their pre-orders have always arrived a day after.
Does anyone know of a cheaper price and/or who can guarantee to have it with him for the launch (ie delivered - for example - around noon, 12 hours before launch)?
Thanks guys

It depends if the devs are strict as rock star are with GTA 5 in that they have specifically said no1 is to receive it earlier than release day eg 17/09.
What about paying extra for quicker delivery on Amazon.0 -
None of them can guarantee it. If you look around various forums you'll see that there's a number of people who will always pre-order from the same place and avoid others and there will be just as many who love the places they avoid and hate the places they order from.
Amazon are generally rather good but only if you pay for quicker delivery, otherwise it's less likely to get there on the day of release.
Sometimes games are sent out a day or two before they're meant to and people get them early, but it's impossible to say if that'll be the same with this game and which shop may do so.
COD is very popular so you're unlikely to be able to pre-order it for less than £35 unless there happens to be some really good discount code or trade-in offer.
Tesco is £35 with a code. You may be lucky and find there's another code you can use along with it. However, Tesco aren't always the best with pre-orders from what I've read. On the plus side, you would get clubcard points with it.
Game and Gamestop are both over £40. Game has a code for if you spend over £50, but it probably wouldn't help in getting that cheaper.0 -
What is the release date for this game please?0

I'll keep searching. Plenty of time yet anyway

I was going to mirror the answer of Fly but he said it so much better than I would, there is just no guarantee that you will get it on the day or earlier if you buy online.

Earliest I've found so far was a site who posts it out 3-4 days before release 1st class. Figure that a long enough lead time to take the chance as our post is usually pretty quick.
If it doesnt arrive for release night....guess I'll have to go queue and cancel the ordered one via DSRsYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Maybe wait and see what the supermarkets are going to offer, eg last year you got it for x amount if you spent so much at Sainsbury's.0

Do you mean you want him to have it 12 hours after launch? You won't get anywhere that will guarantee it will arrive the day before.
You could go to a shop for midnight (game or supermarket) or order from somewhere like ShopTo.net or simplygames.co.uk, as both of them are very prompt at posting games out.0 -

No I meant before launch.
It was simply gaming I found that post it out 3-4 days before launch, most reviews state they got theirs 1-2 days before launch so I was going to order and if it doesnt arrive before launch, I'll just go queue with the midnight masses and cancel the online order under distance selling regsYou keep using that word.
