Jacket pots cooking help needed please

Options
Last week we went away for the week and had no microwave hence had to oven cook my jackets.
They were simply fantastic like nothing ive ever cooked before.
But before its always been 18 mins in the micro job
Id like to do them for tea tonight again but in my oven at home but I wont have the time to cook them when I get in tonight but could do them now.
The ones I did last week had lovely crispy skins. If I cook them now will they go all soggy if I micro them later to heat them up? Or would I be better cooking them through now then heating them up in the oven later?
Thanks for any help:T

I think that may soften them, how about nearly microwave them now, and set the oven to come on a hour before you get home, so that it crisps them?

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Stick your oven on to heat up, and pop your pots in the microwave for about the usual time. when they come out rub them with a teeny bit of olive oil and a teeny bit of salt. pop them in the oven while you set the table/open the wine/whatever and that will give you potatoes in less than half an hour with nice crisp skins. genius. :)

Catreenie beat me to it. The traditional "hours in the oven" method is best, but just using the microwave does nothing for the skin (IMHO, the best bit).
This combination method gives a reasonably good result in a reasonably short time.
