Another Facebook Con Competition?

My suspicious mind is working a tad overtime.

Now I don't normally do FB like and share comps but I had seen on my newsfeed a couple of comping friends sharing a competition to win a bed from a new store which is local to me and just opened this week.

As it was local I decided to enter. Over the last few days there have been a few posts from the Company wanting you to Like and Share their page.

Today they announce the winner. I hover over their name (which had been tagged by another person) and I instantly see they work in the small town where the new shop had opened?

I then had a quick look on her profile and she has not shared the competition.

Now is this just luck that the winner is from the same town as the shop or is my mind right to be a little suspicious?

Usually if you just share with yourself- the only me option- it doesn't count (with a lot of companies), Kovu2013.
  • She has got other photos (not competition shares) like joke photos shared though.

If you only share with yourself or friends then the company in question can't see your post so usually you don't qualify to win the prize because the company can't see that you've shared, if that makes sense, Kovu2013?

OP - Unfortunately this isn't the first time that something like this has happened. There have been a few similar posts in the "Conned By Comps?" group. :(
