ordered 5...hope they're still in date for December!:xmassmile0 -
I was going to buy these as well but have a feeling they might be last years. Has anyone received them and can tell us the date.0

Just picked mine up, best before July 2014.:j0

John Lewis don't sell out of date chocolates (except by accident and then they give you a refund!).
Of course they don't-they would be committing an offence under the Food Safety Act if they did. However, the chocolate may not still be in date in December, which presumably is when most people would want to eat it......“All you need is love. Chocolate lasts forever, no need to worry about dates.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

It changes colour with age and eventually the taste alters too, but 1 year will hardly make any difference if stored sensibly.0

Chocolate lasts forever
Depends what's in it.
Some fresh cream truffles only last a couple of weeks.
Normal chocolate is fairly safe even if out of date.0 -

Not if it's ordinary chocolate with a BB rather than a use by date. While it is an offence to sell food after the 'use by' date, retailers can, with the exception of eggs, sell products after the 'best before' date, providing it is safe to eat. Chocolate is, although that fact is very rarely tested...wonder why?0
