Well my account shows my entire order cancelled. Shame they couldn't send me an email to tell me that.0

the checkout is working fine, although some people are having problems, probably to do with the volume of oreders now going through.
I love it when i spend an hour finding and posting the links for someone to come along and trash the thread with one sentence (so thanks for that really helpful comment). How about:
"Thanks for the links, but unfortunately the checkout didn't work for me"
Actually, I was posting it to warn others they may have some problems, that was all. Every time I asked to confirm it simply re-loaded the page, which might seem a little odd to some people and would have made them wary. I never EVER post derogatory comments about others finds, and if you read my original sentence in the correct context that ethos still remains.
I even editted it to show I'd eventually got it working.
But thanks for your sarcasm, it was appreciated anyway. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
My order has been cancelled too without an email to inform me.0

Just received email:
Dear Customer
During the hours of 6am - 12pm on Wednesday the 13/06/2007 a technical error ocurred on the 101cd.com website resulting in a number of titles across our catalogue being mispriced. As a result of this error all orders placed during this time that have not already been shipped have now been cancelled.
If you have paid for your order via Paypal a refund is in process and will be issued shortly. We will endeavour to have your refund processed in the next 24 - 48 hours due to the volume we are processing. If you have selected to pay for your order via Credit/Debit card and your order has been cancelled I can confirm that no payment has been taken for your order.
Although the majority of orders placed during these hours were affected by the error it is possible that the items you ordered may still be at the same price. Please check your order history and if this is the case place a new order on your account if you still wish to receive the product.
We can advise that the problem has been rectified and that a process has been put in place to avoid the same error ocurring in the future. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Kind Regards
The 101cd Team

Mine was cancelled as well.
Does anyone know where we stand with our consumer rights on this issue? I know if a product is advertised in a shop at a certain price, then they must sell you that item at that price, but is it the same for distance selling?
I phoned them (01534 494818) and got through to a guy who was well versed at this problem. Some work going on their system which inadvertantly lowered some of their prices. I kicked off and he basically admitted that he was fobbing people off with this speil. I asked to speak to manager and wasn't there so phoning me back. Won't hold my breath.0 -
I left a comment on their website about inability to manage their processes. Doubt I will hear anyhting from them again.0

We have absolutely no case here as the T&C clearly state that the order "does not constitute acceptance of your offer to purchase the goods from Blah Ltd, trading as 101cd.com etc.... see my post further down for full wording. It was worth a try to see if they would honour the misprices as a goodwill gesture, but they have clearly stated the case not honouring it. There is no point wasting your time here.0 -
One of the mods on this site is starting action against 101 as this is not the first time they have done this and then palmed it off as a website error (he does go into detail on what act he is using but i can't think of it off the top of my head).

Also one of the site admins is contemplating banning 101 from hotuk deals completely due to the amount of times they have done this to customers.0 -
