clay for a Hanging Imprint Decoration

hiya i would love to make these this year with my kids they will be 10 months and 3 years old when i make them, im thinking £10.50 is alot

can i just buy clay? and buy the ribbon myself? is clay just normal air drying clay or will i need something special

I've never done handprints but I use normal airdrying clay then stamp impressions into it, so I presume this would be the same thing!

You can get it on ebay for about £3 a block. I then cut it into shapes, press whatever you want into it then air dry. You can then glaze if you want, add paint glitter or glue gems on?

Have you tried making salt dough ones? Im not very crafty but mine turned out ok. Have a look at this post, it tells you how.

I second the salt dough recommendation, they are fab and hard wearing.
